Location research, filming permits and production support for a German documentary featuring Toni Kroos
POPULAR PICTURES provided local production support in Madrid for German production company UFA Show & Factual during the production of a documentary about German football agent Volker Struth. The Madrid shoot included interviews with Toni Kroos and required a careful selection of suitable filming locations as well as the necessary filming permits. Our role covered the local elements that are essential when an international production arrives in Spain, from identifying appropriate filming environments to researching and clearing the required permissions.
Working closely with the production team, we researched and proposed locations in Madrid that matched the editorial and visual requirements of the documentary, while coordinating the relevant permit procedures ahead of filming. As the overall shooting schedule developed, several arrangements changed at short notice, requiring locations, permissions and logistics to be adapted quickly.
